green and blue she was once,
now she is gray.
still there are rainbows,
that show through smog.
how hard she trys to make us happy,
yet we slowly destroy her.
we visit her beatiful places,
and kill them with trash.
we admire her animals,
yet kill them if they are ugly.
she gives us our medicine,
we should guve her our thanks.
some of us try to help,
others don't care.
many don't care about there home,
which if destroyed would mean death.
other's simply bask in her beauty,
and don't try to cure her desiese.
oh save the whales we are trying,
but what about others long dead?
could we have helped these creatures,
even if we were destroyed?
it would have been worth it to save them,
so others could enjoy yhem years later.
our earth, with her gifts we must admit,
is slowly dying.
so i tell you today protect her,
so others tomorrow can live.
our beatiful earth will someday die,
but at least a few of us tried to help.
