We walk together and lay down, On the trampoline near by, I can almost hear you frown, But I'm the one still smiling. There's something about you... I think its the way you smile, I would walk forever for that, Much farther than any mile. All is silent for quite some time, I look at you real fast, I'm thanking God that you're mine, But somehow I'm already in your past. I would walk to the horizons, And beyond that for you, Climb to the clouds, So we could be together, us two. I look at the stars shining high above, You say I'd like to just be friends, Your heart broke our love, And now mine won't mend. When I look into your eyes, I see a shooting star, The same one I wished for you upon, That one that sparkles from afar. Without you I'm lost, Without me you'll remain, We are close enough, That you can see my tears through the rain. I walk away and start to cry, Wondering what went wrong, I think about what I'll do next, And when I hear our song. My life is now without you, My eyes are filled with tears, I'm not sure how I'll pull through, Or get through my fears. A part of me is scared, Knowing you have said goodbye, Because of you I cared, Because of you I cry. I thought I was right for you, As you were for me, If I could tell you what is true, Please dream of me. A part of me is hoping and wishing that you'd come by, Without you my life means nothing, No longer do I try. Now it's over, And I have one more thing to say, If I saw that shooting star, Then I'd wish for one more day.
