Someone does Care

My story doesn't end with tears and bloody wrists. This may be the only story to show that someone really does cares. Here goes.
  Im not what you could call pretty. And people seem to notice that more than I would want them too. All the insults really got to me. Mainly because they were coming from some of my closes friends. The things they would say would really bring down my self-esteem. I just felt like no one cared. Suicide seemed to be the best..no wait the ONLY way out. I thought about it so many times. So close i all most did. I never told anyone about my problems or how I really felt. Just in thought that they would make fun of me even more.One day I got enough courage to tell my best friend how I felt.I told her I felt like no one cared, and I should just kill myself, to be less of a bother to anyone.
Her remark was the most loving and caring thing that has ever happened in my life. "Everybody has bad times, that doen't mean you shoud kill yourself. Who cares about what other people think of you. Your life is about how you feel about yourself. I thought about suicide myself. Then i thought aboutr all the people that it would hurt. If you killed youself, that would hurt everyone who knows you. You only say those thing to get pity for yourself. If you really thought about the people in your life, you would think twice about suicide" And she told me if I feel like no one cares that I could just turn to her and she will always be there for me.
  Why do people cry when they are commiting suicide? I know why.They think about all the people they love. And how this will hurt them.If we didn't care for anyone there wouldn't be suicide notes saying we're sorry and that we love you. If no one cared for you then what would be the pointt of writting a letter to them. Now think about that. And think about all the people in your life. No you can't tell me not one of those people wouldn't try to help you like my freind Amy Dirksen did.
  Everyone has someone who really cares. Some people just don't find them in time. Thats why so many people die to suicide.
  I went from thinking that NO one cared, to knowing that lots of people love me. Those were the most meaningfull moments in my life. With her I don'r even know if i would have a life.
  She talked about getting pitty for myself...but no the only pitty I have is for the people who don't discover their true friends.
