there we are... hand in hand, and I kneel. . . and pull the ritual so many have done in the past... but means the world to each of us... and as the four words leave my heart and reach your hears... the single responce leaves me anxious and in waiting.... then, as my heart listens.., the answer comes, and those two letters shatter my heart like a stone through glass..
no... the last and worst I could imagine, and the tear of my eye... leaks down my face, and I realize .. .my life is gone, because to me.. you were life, and without you.. my life is lost, my heart darkens... and there I am... left breathless... mixed emotions... run through my mind.....
fear, anger, and worst of all... love... all brokeness... all of me... fades away... the clouds move in... and depression takes over... but my sights of the future... break through the clouds of sadness like the sunn does throught the storm... but even though the future is held high... i never forget the love... i lost....
for past lovers... who remain friends... were either never in love, or still are... so my chin held high... i forget about the past and move on......
