All by myself is what I could see,
Something that I coudlnt handle to be,
Sitting alone on dark stormy nights,
And going to magnificent sights,
All alone...
My love to him was so very great,
But he gave up too little to late,
I wanted it all to be mine,
But what i didnt know was my hatred and hurt would combine,
He said the words I never wanted to hear,
And from that moment all I felt was fear,
Never wanting to go on with this life,
Never wanting to feel such strife,
I love him more than hed ever know,
He guessed that he love me more than hed ever show,
So that is how he ended it all,
With the phone ringing..one last call,
He never knew how much I needed his touch,
Or that I'd miss him this much,
"Baby" he said,
"I dont need this right now" and went on ahead....
Went to another blonde much older than I,
And from then on I would lay down and cry,
Was it me? Was I not enough?
Why am I taking it so tough?
I realized a month later I was not alone,
But I had God to help me by...to stand strong like a stone,
I never thought I could admitt it like this,
But church and faith is a simple bliss,
I missed his kiss and all he gave,
But God and his glory kept me brave,
So I called my ex up one sunny day,
And told him how Id been and wear Id lay,
He said he was sorry for all the trouble he brought,
But the love for me he had fought,
But he couldnt win this tough battle of him and I,
And he loved me more than ever...he would not lie,
So instead of being alone my love stayed forever,
And to this day I feel quite clever..
For I never gave in to ending it all,
And I lasted from that very last call,
See God had a plan for me and for him,
And now I am happy no doubt about it,
Thanks to God and my love,
I'll always be waiting to descend above.
