Remembering Allison-*

I wanna tell you guys a story about a good friend of mine, who was a very depressed girl.

Her name was Allison and I met her in the 6th grade, she was a really sweet girl-nice, beautiful, funny. A great friend, who seemed happy about everything. We were good friends, and we stayed that way all the way up till 8th grade.

During the 7th grade, on a day when everything was going wrong w/ me, and I was crying Allison was my only friend and she stuck by me that day-I'll never forget it...I promised myself the next time she was sad n lonely I would be there for her. A few days later she was really upset about something, so I took her into the bathroom and asked her waht was wrong. She just flipped her arm over, and showed me her wrist. All cut up and scared. I was really taken back by this, and I didn't know what to do. I just stood there, saying-What is wrong, why did you do this, I can help you, you should tell someone. Which she did-she told the counsler who informed her parents, and Allison did get help. She was on medication and seeing a docter. I was so proud of her!

Over that summer, I didn't talk to her much, but when I did, I asked her how things were going and she said GOOD, which made me happy.

During 8th grade, everything was going awesome for her, or so it seemed. She was a cheerleader, beautiful, nice, a lot of friends, and a great guy. But it all ended on October 14th, 2000.

She was @ her dad's work, where he kept a gun in case of a break in. Allison had found it, and she shot herself. She was braindead and died the next day.

I remember the phone call that I got. The one that told me she had shot herself and was dead. My heart dropped.

School the next day was awful-no one could believe it. She was 14, we were 14. No one did this....but they did. She was an unhappy girl who felt no one loved her, but she didn't know how many people did. Everyone was depressed and crying. It was horrible. I miss her and think of her often...

The worst thing, was walking into her calling hours, and seeing her laying in that casket. It's something I'll never ever forget.

*The moral of this story, is no matter how lonely you are, SOMEONE loves you-don't do what allison did. You can be helped, and it will be OK-

R.I.P Allison-*
