LIFE














As the sun begins to set,






and I get ready to go to bed.






I hear the deafning screams,






that are ringing in my head.










When I think its all over,






and the screams have stopped for good.






I hear the front door slam shut,






and I paused where I stood.










I hear the car start up,






and the wheels screech down the street.






And the memories of us all together,






being washed away at my feet.










I ly awake in bed,






as footsteps come up the stairs.






I see the doorknob turning,






and I saw her sad glare.










Then she sat down on my bed,






then smiled her short sweet smile.






Then I asked her why,






and she paused for awhile.










She told me they’d been fighting,






for a month a week a year.






She told me daddy might not come home,






this was my greatest fear.










Next morning when I woke up,






I called out daddies name.






I waited and I waited,






but still no one came.










I got out of bed,






realizing my mom was gone to.






I saw a note on the table,






it started out with I’ll always love you.










Then it went on by saying,






I’ve gone to a better place.






I have left you now because,






I have made a big disgrace.










I realized what she meant by this,






and she must now be gone.






And as I looked outside the house,






she was lying on the lawn.










I cried for awhile,






then I saw it there.






I took it off the counter,






I held it with great care.










It was sharp and very shinny,






I saw my reflection once more.






I took it to my neck,






and the blood began to pour.










Now I am soaked in my own blood,






lying alone on the floor.






I hope to see you soon mom,






I am getting closer to the golden door.










Now I am in the golden gates,






I look and see you there.






Now we can be together forever,






why was life so unfair?
