Searching back through memories,
i found your face today,
in a white paper envelope,
very neatly tucked away.
I held it for a moment,
full of fear of whats inside,
all those anxious moments loving you,
all the love stained tears i cried.
then i took a long deep breath,
closed my eyes and grasped the seal,
for what that envelope contained,
my heart wasn't built to feel.
the painfull flood of memories,
that rushed into my heart,
raw emotions bits and pieces,
it was tearing me apart.
i felt your touch and saw your smile,
i looked into your eyes,
i felt those things that one must feel,
the moment that one dies.
i reached out to touch your hand,
and cried aloud your name,
but that misty clouded memory,
will never be again.
so..slowly stiffly with silent tears,
i fold you back in place,and hide away within me,
the memory of your face.
forever is a long long time,
and every time i try,
it only takes a memory,
and i break down and cry.....
well i was inlove once with one that did not love me..at the time he said he did but he didn't...i will always remember him from the small hole in my heart!
