b.c government screwed us-royally

I am writing this petition in hopes it will allow our goverment to view the ideas and concerns of the students of British Columbia. The students of B.C. feel that our education is being sacrificed in a petty debate over control and money by teachers and the government. We would like everyone, everywhere to realize the teachers are the key to our future, without them there is no education. There is always a bad teacher, for the most part, though, teachers leave a lasting impression on children. Some children and teenagers will never forget that teacher that went out of their way to help them, when they did not have to. The teachers that stay till 9:00 pm for basketball practice three days a week. The teachers that care enough to call home during the evening, to find out if you were sick. The teachers who stay after school till 5:00 and stay in during lunch to help one student with a project or assignment, or just catching up. The list goes on. Teachers sacrifice alot for the students. They deserve alot of recognition as well as the right to not have to struggle. The government says teaching is an essential service, treat them like an essential service then.
