Ok heres the story:
about 4 years ago my mom was told that she had a tumor. ok so she went to the hosiptal to get her chemotherapy and everything. but then when she went back to get her chemo the doctor told her that she had a brain cancer. my dad and her came home and told me and my sister ( she was a freshman and i was in 7th grade then) and we both just held her tight telling her that it will be aight and that she will fight it over.
She went back to the hosipital to get a brain surgery and they told us that it was growing fast and that she didnt have much time to live.
About a month later she was told by the doctors that she only had about 6 months to live. She was in such bad condition that she couldnt even come home. She had to stay at a nursing home in our town.
Of course we would visit her after school and sometimes before. When she was in the hospital she could talk and kinda walk but as soon as she got into the nursing home she couldnt do anything. and i mean anything. she couldnt even go to the bathroom. she couldnt move. it was so depressing to see her in so much pain.
My dad, my sister, her bf and I went to go see her one day and me, my sis and her bf was in the next room while my dad was trying to talk to her. And we heard her talk for the first time "shut up" thats what she told my dad...but in a good way. When she told my dad that everyone broke into a smile. She tried to smile but we could see that she was.
But then...
It was a friday morning and i was sitting in religion class( i went to a private school) and it was 10:10. My secretary called me out to the hall and i could tell that it had to do about my mom. so i rode with the priest to the nursing home and walked to the office. i saw my sister crying and i just collasped to the ground. I knew it. My mom died. 10:01.
I went back to the school cuz i couldnt stand being in the building anymore. so i walked into the class room and everyone could tell that i was crying and one of my friends, Stephanie, ran up to me to hugging me. Stephanie and my mom were close friends and she knew what i was going through. I lost my mom. It was April 14, 2000. at 10:01.
now im a fresh and 15 and still hard to talk about it...and it happened 2 years ago.
i just want everyone out there to know that keep your family close to you. you never know what can happen to you. i had a mom when i went to school but when i came back i didnt. it can happen in a fingersnap. so hold everything you cherish close to you. just please do it...you may regret it in the end when you realize that you dont have them anymore. i know that i did.
