20 things I have learned from the Army Cadet marching band.
Rating: PG-13
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
1. There is always a glocker near by. Even if you were in a room full of drummers, there is always a glocker!
2. Never ever drop a drum stick when marching. Enough said.
3. No matter how good you play an instrument, you can never play it as well when you march.
4. Sectionals are a waste of time. Everyone knows that it is just another "gossip session".
5. Lead tips always get to play more then you. Strange as it may seem, but they always play the first song by themself. Who knew?
6. Once one glock drops, they all do.
7. Never drop 3 glocks in an armoury.
8. Where ever there is a mallot, there is an angry glocker
9. Where ever there is a rolling bass-drum head, there is an overactive bass drummer.
10. Songs are another form of communication. Just look at people when they play. Talk about "talking with your eyes".
11. The "Happy Wanderer" really isn't happy.
12. The brass and reed just march. They hardly play at all. Maybe they are there for show!
13. You cannot play a drum without getting hit in the head with a stick.
14. Have you ever seen a person march in a straight line during slow march?
15. Drummers always blame the glockers.
16. Glockers always blame the brass and reed.
17. Brass and read just march.
20. Everyone has wounds from the mase.
