6)Training camp traditons. In what other city do players make a kids day by riding there bike to the practice field across the street? It's been a long standing tradition that even the coaches get in on.5) There is no superstar here that thinkshe is worth more then what hey are getting paid. Where else to 10+ players take major pay cuts just to stay with the team?
5) Two words. LAMBEAU FIELD. It doesn't get any better or more historic then that.
4)Brett Favre is the best, most diverse quaterback in the leauge. He is also the most die-hard player, starting 161 straight games, an NFL QB record by 45 game.He might have a 100 million dollar contract but he must not know about it because he is the most down to earth guy in the leauge.
3)The historic greats. Lombardi, Starr, Lambeau, Nitchske, Hourning, Taylor, Wood, Davis, Gregg, Huston, Canadeo, and on and on. So much history and tradtion lies in the city.
2)Respect. The fans respect and cherish the players and the players respect and apperciate the fans. There are continuous stories of how players get compliments and lectures from well wishing fans. Some just wanting to make sure they know how lucky they are to be paying in Green Bay.
1) Smallest town in the league but biggest, most loyal fans. There's this aura and feeling in Green Bay that is like no other. Fans live for the Packers, not only in Green Bay but throught out Wisconsin. They are our life for 6 months of the year and then our fantasy the other six months. We live for games and to see our pride and joy demolish the Vikings or Bears any given Sunday afternoon.
