A Mother's Poem To Her Marine
Rating:
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
DUSTIN
Three longs months it has been
Since I have seen my only son
I could not even imagine
All he has been through and done
I wait anxiously in the dark
On a clear summer night
After Talking with his sergeant
Who assured me you were all right
Often I hear your footsteps
Of my strong young man
and all my waiting soon to end
Out of the dark you marched
So proud, So strong, So lean
In the uniform of a Unites States Marine
Where was my little boy
Who left me three months ago
Who has become a man
I must now get to know
When he looks me in the eyes
With all the confidence, and so keen
I recognize my son
As a United States Marine
My heart is filled with pride
My eyes full of tears
But I must share him, for the next four years
To wear the title of a Marine
He says is like no other
But how can I be prouder
Than to be called His MOTHER
LOVE YOU ALWAYS SON (MOM)
