As we entered high school we still had our pact~
But we seemed to grow distant and our friendship did lack~
We tried to hold on to the friendship that was there~
But as the year progressed we didn't seem to care~
The time is close, the time is near~
This is the day we did fear~
The day when the sun will rise once more~
And set on out friendship we said would go on for evermore~
We said our good-byes but did not want to let go~
There was nothing left to the friendship we once had~
We both knew each other was very sad~
We went our own ways without one word~
As we turned away only a tear could be heard~
Never let your best friend turn away~
Because if you do in the end there will be nothing left to say
