Christmas Story

Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
There was this little boy, and he was poor. His family was so poor they lived in an ally, near the garbage dump. The little boy walked downtown , in only an old itchy tiny sweatshirt he got for his seventh birthday. The little boy looked in one of the shops windows. He saw a train running on a track, big model cars, but his eyes starred at the beautiful hand painted soldier. Its suit shone, its boots glowed, its face ready to fight for a battle. The little boy went inside the store. He looked at the soldier up close. There were lots of them left, but the little boy had his eyes set on the most best one in the world. It was only 10 dollars, which was good for such a beautiful soldier it was, but the boy knew he didn't have enough money, so he went home. Weeks and weeks passed. Everyday the boy would check on the soldier. The store keeper saw him every morning peering through the window, looking at the soldier. One wek before Christmas, he went to the toy store to look at it for the last time, but it wasn't there! He went inside to see for sure. "Some other boy is probably going to get it for Christmas." he groaned. But then he saw paper. It read "Dear boy, I have seen you looking at the soldier for days, and I have thought it over. There are many people like you. Everyone deserves the same amount of attention. Please come meat me today at the University. I will be waiting my the main campus street at about 12:00 p.m." The boy checked the clock on the wall, it read 11:30. He ran down the street to the University. There he saw big floats, it was for the Santa Claus Parade! The little boy looked around. Then a man on top of a big float yelled to him. He was dressed just like Santa Claus! He climbed up to the man. The little boy sat with him for the parade. As they went down the street Santa Claus threw candies and presents to all the little children. At the end of the parade, Santa gave the boy a present. He looked at him with joy. "Open it!" he pushed. The little boy opened it to find… THE SOLDIER! He was really happy. He thanked Santa, well the store keeper.
The store keeper saw this little boy, and felt sorry for him. Christmas isn't just a receiving holiday, but it's also giving. Remember everyone during this season. Do what you can to help others. Make this Christmas of 2000 the best Christmas ever.
