DRIFTING AWAY - SUICIDE POEM
Rating:
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
The waves swirl below me,
Crashing against the rocks then slowly rolling back.
These rocks are huge fingers pulling me down,
I’m trapped now, confidence is what I lack.
I feel fear’s icy fingers,
The razor blade skin.
Slicing through my body,
Coming out from within.
My throat is blocked,
With something full of might.
It’s twisting and turning,
And will soon end this night.
My knees buckle under this pressure,
The clouds, soft and free.
Are smashed by my body,
So too, is the sea.
I am swept away,
Like pollen on a breeze.
The sea is an unforgiving place,
Which suits my needs.
Sinking slowly,
I’m cleansed until pure.
I’m now a statistic,
The number of sane people I have now made fewer.
