Sometimes, when the days and nights get really dark, I begin to question myself, my purpose, and my reasons….I question God. I know that the last thing I should do is question Him….but sometimes when the pain is overwhelming and I just can’t let it go…..I question. I try to tell myself that I am not alone and that no matter what there is always someone there for me….but when I get really lonely and I don’t know where to turn….I question the people around me. Far too often we let our fears and insecurities lead us to question everything around us. I know just how hard it is to keep your head up when all you want to do is curl up in a ball and cry your eyes out….I know because I’ve been there. I know what it feels like to think no one in the world cares about you. I know what it’s like to question your best friend in the whole world, just because they made one simple mistake. I know how easy it is to let someone’s mistake ruin a friendship or a relationship….but by letting that mistake ruin in….we are denying the very reason we are here…..to forgive each other. We all make mistakes….we all have hurt people….and we all have been hurt by people. We know what its like to have someone you care a lot about not accept your apology….even when you mean it. We know that, but we still find it so difficult to accept someone’s apology. We have difficulty letting the pain that has been inflicted go….we hold onto it for our dear lives. We are so afraid of what might happen if we do let it go and we do forgive the person who caused us that pain….we’re afraid that it was our mistake to feel the pain. Everything that happens to us causes some sort of feeling or emotion in us….we don’t always recognize it….but it does. We sometimes don’t think that its okay to feel the way we do…..so we deny our feelings and hold onto the pain. Denial only causes you more pain….just admit that you were hurt and give God your broken heart….he will repair it. Don’t let the fact that you’ve been burned in the past keep you from loving everyone you can. Don’t let the pain and hurt you went through cause you to not care about people any more. God can do amazing things with a broken heart, when He’s given all the pieces. Its up to us to have the faith, courage, and strength to give Him all the pieces….so that he may restore it….and we can love again……..
