I'm going to try and write a poem
About a very special woman i once knew.
She loved anyone and everyone,
And she loved me too.
She lived a happy life
And raised her children well,
I only wish i had had more time with her,
There would be so much more to tell
From what i hear,
I know that she loved me very much.
I also heard that she had a very special touch.
Then one day, a very terrible thing happened,
It happened before my fourth birthday.
The woman we called Sue, daughter, wife and mom
passed away.
Now 10 years have passed,
Since I lost the person I called mommy.
Some nights I cried myself to sleep,
My dad had to come and calm me.
He would ask "What's wrong?"
And I said the only thing I could say.
I'd look at him with a tear rolling down my cheek and ask;
"Daddy, why did they have to take Mommy away?"
