Adam and Eve: Why Incest Was Okay

Adam and Eve where the first humans, and yes by today's standards their children would have had to commit incest in order for their to be humans today. The different is this.....
God created Adam and Eve and said they were good, now by God's standards that would mean they were without defect, including their genes. When Adam and Eve sinned and were kicked out of Eden they invited death and decay into a world that it hadn't been part of until then. Adam and Eve had perfect genes so their children recieved perfect ones as well. As time went on the gene pool began to become less pure, because of the increase of ailments that effected man after their Fall in Eden. There were a lot fewer problems with people's genes thousands of years ago compared to today which is why their were fewer problems resulting from incest. Incest is not acceptable today because of the lack of purity in people's genes. Any problems a family might have in their genes would be more likely to pop up because of incest, which is why it's not allowed today and it was in the past.
