There is a man in his basement. there are 3 light switches and only one turns on all the lights upstairs. the basement door is shut and he can only go up once to check if they are on. what light switch turns them on?????

first he has to turn on one switch for about ten minutes. than he must flick it off and turn on another one. than he goes upstairs. if the lights are on it is the switch that he kept on. he touches the light bulbs and if they are hot it was the first switch he turned on. and if it is none of them its the third switch!!!
