I’m a normal girl from a town that no one has ever heard of, and nothing big ever happens, and lately ever thing was going well and every one was happy until one morning. Well it was normal morning just like any other I got up around 7:00 had my shower, Did my hair. You know all that stuff. It must have been 8:00 when my mom got a call from one her friend, My moms friends son is in hockey, and they have practice every Tuesday mornings before school. My two brothers and I were all sitting in the living room listening to the conversation. But by the tone of my moms voice I knew something was wrong, and also by her saying “Oh my, That’s horrible!”.
We all got really quiet, My Mom hung up the phone and said to my oldest brother who is in highschool, “Go get your yearbook.”
My brother came up stairs with his yearbook. She then told him to look this person up. It was the picture of a guy in grade eleven, a popular guy, a really nice guy who everyone liked. A real sports lover with everything going for him, I mean this kid was going places.
“He committed suicide yesterday. He jumped off of a mountain.”
She meant this really huge mountain that I see every day. It takes an hour to walk to the top. And 10 minutes to drive. At the top there is a time capsule. At the top there is also an amazing view of everything. But if you go to the edge there is a shear drop of atleast 2000 ft, And at the bottom it’s rocks. A hiker Had found his back pack at the bottom of the mountain earlier that morning he looked in side and found a suicide note and took it strait to the police. They found the body, if you could call it that. within 2-3 hours of looking.
This was a tragedy. It effected everyone in the community. I didn’t even know him and I am effected. so I wonder how his family must feel. His friends. I wonder why he did it. I wondered if I could have done something to stop it, If I could go back in time And stop him from hurting so many people and himself. I wondered how, How he could have taken that first step? What thoughts went through his mind as he walked all the way up that mountain. If I did go back in time what would I say to make him stop. But sadly I know I can’t back in time. I prayed to god that it was all just a big dream and that it never happened. But it did. It did.
