5 funniest things Americans have asked me about living in Canada

I'm Canadian (and damn proud of it)and these questions and comments are all actuall things that Americans have asked me over the years, and how I've answered them.  From when I was nine to fourteen years old, I lived in the U.S. and when I got there, I got a LOT of absolutley retarded questions and comments (and no, before you ask, they were NOT just trying to be funny, they really were this stupid.) Enjoy!


Q: So, do you guys like, have malls up there?
A: Nope, we just have these big wooden houses, with the food on one end, and the animal furs on the other, because that's all you really need to buy up there.


Q: So does everyone you know play hockey?
A: Of course! If you want to go to school in Canada, you have to play, it's a core subject.


Q: Does it snow all year round up there?
A: No, not all year round, we have a few weeks in July that it doesn't snow, but, then again, the sun doesn't come up at all in december and January. 


Q: Do you guys have electricity up there?
A: Well yeah, but that's really only for public buildings like clinics and places like that.  Some really rich people have electricity in their homes but most people just use candles and oil lamps.


Q: Do you have any problems with polar bears and things like that coming into your yard?
A: Sometimes, but you get used to it, usually if you throw a frozen fish or something off your property, they'll go away.
