There was this girl named Deidre that I had been best friends with every since 1st grade. We did everything together. We told each other secrets. She was like a sister to me. Then my parents told me we had to move, i was expecting just to another town but it was another state. We chated on msn and emailed but hardley ever talked on the phone because neither of our parents could afford it. Then one Christmas i got invited to stay with her because her parents thought she needed me. When I got there it was like I had lost my whole life, my heart dropped into my stomache. I wanted to cry. Her parents said to see Deidre that we would have to go to the hospital, I was worried but i figured it was just the flu. It was more than the flu, Deidre was in a coma and was expected to only live for up to 48 hours. Her parents left me in the room and the nurse left, closing the door behind her. I sat in a chair next to the bed and talked to Deidre for hours. I told her that I would miss her and I talked about all the times we had shared from the moment we met until that day. It was the worst day of my life. after about 5 hours her parents said it was time to go. I hated leaving her almost lifeless in that hospial bed but I knew I would have to go sometime. I left the hospital with tears running down my cheeks. I already was missing my best friend even though she was still alive. She made it past the 48 hours getting better. The day i was supposed to leave to go back home has been the best day of my life so far. I was boarding the plane and got a phonecall on my cell. I almost didnt answer it thinking that it would be bad news from Susan and Rojer, Deidres parents. I finally worked up the courage to answer the phone. That was probably the best phone converstation I will ever have. The news was great Deidre had came out of her coma only remembering the words I had said. I rushed to the hospital and enjoyed the day with my #1 best friend.
