One Last Question

The sun is turning black, moon is growing dark, our bright young day is
succumbing to the night.
that's it, its over, it's time to face the truth, tonight... its the night I'm
giving up the fight.

The fight for what, no one knows, be it life or love or anything more.
My one last question burns in the heart, what on earth are we fighting
for?

The answer itself is standing out front, we see it every minute of every day.
We live for power, we live to love, we live to live. Thinking of this...I back away.

Standing away from the center of the motion I realize we live to die.
Watching the world, spinning around, watching the world living a lie.

The sun is now black, moon is dark, night has taken over day.
Our perfect happy world is ever so slowly wasting away.

Then I see you and the sun returns.
And that question? It no longer burns.

I realize that I'm living for you,
and this love i feel, strong and true.

Your smile, your eyes, your hands and your smell
take me away like a magical spell.

All my old wishes of my passing,
Slowly and surely are surpassing...

I now remember that inside of me
Life is improving at an amazing degree.

Smiles are everywhere,
Its like walking on air.

Please God let me live,
love and thrive.

Let me rejoin the world and enjoy my life,
You helped me conquer the power of the knife.

Once so tepmting, once so great.
I put it away, and now I wait...
