In the dictionary a "prep" is a person who goes to a preparatory school. This means... they are studying and training to go to college. So, being a "prep" is a good thing, technically. Now that you know what the word means, you probably realize that you, too, are a "prep." Another word for prep is Honor Student. That eventually leads to Top 10 Percent... and from there Valedictorian. Furthermore, the word "prep" has been dillusioned into a word that means a person too into themselves and who is stupid, blonde, prissy, etc. Sorry to burst everyone's bubbles.

(I am a "prep," I'm going to college. But no, I am not beautiful, prissy, nor stupid.)
