25 reasons why canada is better than the US reply

1. We're bigger

You can't live in many parts of your country. We have a bigger population.

2. We don't have major racism problems, but are still the most multicultural nation on earth

You are NOT the most multicultural nation on earth, DUH America is. Our nation is made up of people who came from many other countries. Your country is prodominately French and English

3. We're known worldwide to be peacekeepers, not warmakers

What have you done to keep peace? Saying stuff when other countries go to war about how they shouldn't go to war doesn't mean "keeping the peace".

4. We don't all live squished together in teeny little houses in cities where you can't even see the sky because of all the smog

Uh, neither do we. I've never been anywhere like that and I live 4 hours from NYC not in the middle of nowhere. Just becuase we have large cities is no reason to be mean.

5. We know some things about the U.S., whereas they know nothing about us (ever seen the show "talking to Americans?")

I know a whole bunch about you. I probably know some things you don't. Do you know where Brockville is? Have you ever been on a Canadian island in the St Lawrence River? Also, in social studies we learn all about Canada.

6. Even our big cities are clean

Have you been to every big city in Canada? Then how do you know?

7. Here you can walk down the street and say hi to perfect strangers without getting arrested and thrown into an asylum

I've talked to strangers before and i've never been arrested

8. We don't expect people to like us or respect us, but they do.  The U.S. seems to have gotten that backwards

Then why are you saying all these "great" things about Canada. If you don't want people to like you then you should tell people your countries bad. That's not what your doing. And besides I don't respect you right now

9. The beaver is a truly proud and noble animal

...so? You didn't invent the beaver. We have beavers too. I know it's your national animal. (Ha, another thing I know about Canada.)

10. Canadian beer doesn't taste like polluted water

Great. Who cares? If you have legally drinken beer then you're way to old to be doing childish things like posting forwards

11. Our nuclear power is safer and cheaper than yours

Omg how much research did you do for this forward???

12. We actually have natural resources

Uh so do we. Ummm if I look outside i see a river and some trees. Hmmm, those both sound like natural resources to me.

13. Trees are something that can be found everywhere, not just in certain protected areas

I have two trees in my front yard and 5 in my backyard. (By the way, neither of those places are protected areas)

14. Our accents don't sound vulgar

That's a matter of opinion. I think your accents sound vulgar. So there.

15. Our system of government doesn't even remotely resemble Naziism

Our system of government is fair and just. And I like it.

16. Six feet of snow doesn't slow us down any.  Two inches of snow and New York is closed for a week.

So you think that when you cross the St Lawrence river ( which is a border between our two countries) people suddenly become scared of snow? In the Southern states people aren't used to it. If one day during Winter it truned 130 degrees in your town don't you think people would think it was a bit strange and not know how to deal with it?

17. Everyone in Canada has at least some rudimentary knowledge of what a farm is

So does everyone here.

18. There's been a woman Prime Minister

We don't hav prime ministers so how could we even have a woman one.

19. Tim Hortons.  No matter where you go in Canada, you can always get good food at the local Tim Horton's.  In the U.S. the best you can do is the International House of Pancakes, or McDonalds.

Have you ever heard of The Outback Steakhouse, or Olive Garden, or Ruby Tuesday's. Those are all a lot better than mcDonalds or the international house of pancakes. Also, in big cities there is a lot of very fine dining.

20. Our flag is original.  No other country in the world has a leaf on their flag.  How many countries do you see with stars and/or stripes on their flags?  It's boring and old.

Ooh you deserve a round of aplause You didn't make up your flag so you have no right to brag about it

21. There are more hot Canadians per hundred than there are hot Americans per thousand.  Every year when American guys come to my town in the summer they comment on the high number of hot girls here.  When I went to Florida last March I saw maybe 2 hot guys the whole trip.

If you hate America so much why did you go here on vacation?

22. Wildlife in Canada does not consist solely of the rats that raid the garbage at night

I've never seen a rat. I see deer every day.

23. We don't have to buy our drinking water from other countries

Niether do we. Ever heard of wells? Many people have them. They drink out of them.

24. Acceptance.  Canada was the first country in the world to allow homosexual couples to marry, the second to give female equality, and the first to have more than one national language

I don't have enough information on this to give a rational arguement.

25. I live here

Well in my eyes that makes Canada 10 times as bad.
