You know, I read this little 'entry' in this wonderful little collection of forwards, and the very first thought that popped into my brain was 'What an amazingly idiotic moron'. I mean, if you're going to prove that not all preps are bitches and idiots, YOU COULD AT LEAST TRY TO ACT THE PART My suggestions are as follows:
[a] Learn to punctuate your sentences. NO one wants to read a long paragraph comprised of a single sentence with poor grammer, especially if it comes from someone claiming to be an intelligent human being.
[b] If you're going to show that you really don't care about your nails/hair/clothes, then DON'T make a show of telling exactly how much you paid for all of it. I COULDN'T CARE LESS IF YOU PAID 95 FOR A MANICURE THAT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT I mean, come on...if you really didn't care, I'm thinking you wouldn't remember how much you paid.
[c] Do not call your 'preppy prep prep friends' preppy prep prep friends. I find 'preppy prep prep' a derogatory phrase, and as you labelled yourself as a prep, it seems as though you are insulting preps even as you take their side, thus attempting to play both sides in an attempt not to insult anyone. This is a BAD idea; take one side or the other, not both.
[d] EVERYONE judges people before they know them based on look or 'social status'. It's called 'first impressions'. It doesn't matter if you base judgement on someone before getting to know them; what matters is that you are openminded enough to CHANGE your first judgement of a person when you DO get to know them. Don't try to justify your own actions, saying you've done it too, even though you know it's wrong. It makes it look like you're pleading guilty; not a good thing to do when making a point.
[e] Umm...lemme go read your little post once more, gathering more issues from it to talk about. Hmmm...that's basically it. Other than your atrocious spelling, horrific grammer, and non-existant punctuation, your argument is badly thought out, and seems merely to prove the prep stereotype more than disprove it. I heartily congratulate you on a superb effort.
And this is a follower of the Moose Cult saying "Down with the stupid preps".
(Please note that I merely want to get rid of STUPID preps, not ALL preps, because I'm sure somewhere out there, there is an intelligent prep. I've never seen one, nor have any of my friends, but there MUST be at least ONE...)
