1)Trust us until we give you a reason not to trust us
Dont hold a mistake me make against us for 2 long
2)Let us chose who we date and who we are friends with, we understand you luv us and want to protect us, but you need to believe in us and let us chose our own relationships and dont try to prevent us from seeing them.
Give our significant other and or our friends a shot, trust us that we will do nothing stupid and believe us when we tell you how great they really are, we are not going to date  a loser or a uncool person, looks can be decieving dont judge a friend by his/her cover, we know the inside of them and we want you to give them a shot, also dont believe stories you have heard they are not necessarily true.
3)Grades are important we'll agree but not every class comes easily to every student if we are having trouble in a class dont yell when we do bad, try to understand how hard it truely is, if we are slacking off in all classes thats one thing but 1 or 2 is another.
Offer to study with us you may not know a thing bout what we are doing but if you offer to help it will make us have quality time together
4)Sometimes we are going to ask to go places your not going to want to let us, maybe its to a concert or out of state with a friend, consider it a growing experience as long as there are responisble adults there LET US GO, and if not, consider where we are going and who we are going with and how long we will be gone. its a growing experience, and even if a person you dislike and we like is gonna be there trust us to make the right decisions and not do anything stupid like come home expecting a baby or drunk or high.
We are gonna make mistakes and your gonna have to be there for us, but remember you raised us, we learned from you, we are not gonna do anything stupid. TRUST US
5)We do luv you even though we get mad at you and maybe get distant, sometimes it seems like our parents dont understand us. Sorry about this and someday we'll come back again.
