1 Dedication to my best friend, Kirsten
Rating:
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
Today it is 9 months. Easter. I still remember the night Kirsten was taken from us. It was a typical night for us. Drinking and partying it up. We had no clue what would happen that night that would change our lives forever. My mom told me a story before I left that night. She told me of these kids who thought that nothing could hurt them. They decided to jump from a bridge into the water. Little did they know, the water was shallow. All the kids were injured badly. My mom asked me that night not to think that I was 10 foot tall and bulletproof. I promised her I wouldn't and I left. 11:30pm I was on the porch at the party. I looked up as I heard brakes squeeling and then I heard a thump. I knew immediatly what had happened. Someone had hit something. I prayed that it was a deer that they had hit, but I knew better. I knew it was Kirsten. My first instinct was to call 911, and I did. I then found a cell phone and called my Mom. She was there 5 minutes later. I then went into shock. All I remeber after that is running down the driveway yelling for my mom. She took me to my grandma's because I couldn't stand sleeping at home(My house was down the road). I remember waking up in the morning with bruises all over my body. My friends tell me that I had thrown myself around the house screaming and yelling for my Mom. I went to the beach that day. Kirsten's death was the talk of the town. All I could do was cry. I was laying on the dock...I just layed there all day. It has been 9 months...and I still cry....It still hurts, but I've learned from it. Please, do not think that nothing will hurt you...because it can. Things happen and theres nothing you can do to take them back. I hope you learn from my story...please feel free to email me if you have questions or comments.
